A new home for Brown's West Branch
Brown's West Branch Ford is open now at 346 W Main Street. We plan to move to our new facility at 305 Tidewater Drive in mid-August 2026.
The new building will bring Brown's West Branch Ford and Brown's West Branch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram together in one location. Each store will keep dedicated sales and service areas, so Ford guests will still have a Ford-focused team and space while our employees gain more room to work together.
Brown's purchased the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership from longtime local owner Todd Thein in 2013. Todd and his team had built a respected business around the same kind of personal relationships Brown's values, and Todd remains a valued longtime guest and supporter. Brown's later purchased West Branch Ford from Brad Larson in 2021.
The new facility gives those relationships more room to grow, with 18 total service bays, updated equipment and technology, improved guest amenities, and more space for our teams. It is not about changing what people value about either store. It is about serving guests better while keeping the same local people, familiar faces, and straightforward way of doing business.

The Brown's story
Brown's West Branch Ford is one chapter in a family business that began in northeast Iowa and grew from one community to the next. The best fits have always been places where people know their guests, keep their word, and value a relationship that lasts beyond one sale.
1964
At age 24, Dave Brown was awarded the Ford franchise in Guttenberg, Iowa. At that time, he was the youngest person to be awarded a Ford franchise.
1981
Ford approached Dave Brown about opening a satellite dealership in Elkader, beginning another chapter of the family's Ford business in Iowa.
1998
Brown's purchased the dealership now known as Victory Ford in Dyersville, expanding the family's Ford presence in eastern Iowa.
2013
Todd Thein and his team knew their guests, and their guests knew them. They kept their word and built Thein Motor Sales through long-term relationships. That way of doing business felt familiar to Brown's and made the dealership a natural fit when Brown's purchased it in 2013.
2016
The Brown's Hometown Victory Foundation was established to extend the family's community commitment beyond the dealership walls.
2021
When Brown's purchased West Branch Ford from Brad Larson, it found that same small-town foundation. The Radford family, Brad Larson, and longtime employees had built a place where guests knew who they were dealing with and knew those people would keep their word. Brown's was proud to carry those relationships forward.
2026
The planned Tidewater Drive facility brings the West Branch teams under one roof with dedicated franchise areas, 18 total service bays, and more room for the people and relationships that already make the dealership feel like home.
